Sen. Kaufman Honors Our Nation's Heroes on Veterans Day
Sen. Kaufman spoke to and met with veterans across Delaware on Veterans Day.

Sen. Kaufman met with Israeli and Palestinian officials, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayad, during his visit to Israel and the West Bank for the 2009 Saban Forum. The sixth annual forum, entitled “The U.S.-Israel Partnership, Can New Governments Overcome Old Challenges?” took place from Nov. 14-16 in Jerusalem, and included a trip to Ramallah.
Fisker Automotive Comes to Delaware's Boxwood Plant
Sen. Ted Kaufman, among others, announced Fisker Automotive is re-opening a shuttered former GM factory in Wilmington, Del., to produce long-range, plug-in, electric hybrid vehicles. The Wilmington assembly plant was selected by Fisker Automotive for its primary global production facility based on its size, production capacity; and access to shipping ports, rail lines and skilled workforce.
Muscatatuck Urban Training Center visit
Sen. Kaufman led an interagency delegation Sept. 28 to observe joint civilian-military training at southern Indiana’s Camp Atterbury military installation. This visit demonstrated his strong support for efforts to increase civilian-military unity of mission.
